Jarrod Beck is a Brooklyn-based artist with an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. Beck is the recipient of the 2014 – 2015 Clare Weiss Emerging Artist Award. His resulting outdoor installation, Uplift, will be on view at Sara D. Roosevelt Park on Houston Street until August 2015. Beck has shown his work extensively in the US and internationally including solo and group exhibitions at Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas; Wave Hill Garden and Cultural Center, Bronx, NY; Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Omaha, NE; Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY; Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI, Marc Straus Gallery, NY; MASS Gallery, Austin, TX; and Socrates Sculpture Park, Queens, NY, among many others.
