Gopal Dagnogo was born in 1973 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and currently lives and works in Paris, France. Recent solo exhibitions include Galerie Manufacture 45, Roue, France; Galerie Eric Dumont, Troyes, France; Galerie Diversity, Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Galerie No Smoking, Strasbourg, Germany; among others. His work has been included in group exhibitions at the 11th Biennale Dakar, Dakar, Senegal (2014); Premiere Biennale de Kampala, Kampala, Ougana (2014); Musee National Cotroceni, Bucarest, Romania (2013); among many others. In 2014, Dagnogo completed the Art Omi residency in Ghent, NY.
