Midori Harima was born in 1976 in Yokohama, Japan. She received her Bachelor of Arts in oil painting and printmaking from Jyoshibi University of Art and Design, Kanagawa, Japan in 2000. Harima relocated to San Francisco in 2001, and since then has exhibited widely in the U.S. and Japan. She has won many awards and completed international artist residencies, including most recently Koganecho Bazzar, Yokohama, Japan; Art Omi International Artists Residency, Ghent, NY; and Egon Schiele Art Centrum, Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic. She currently lives and works in New York.
