Tadaaki Kuwayama was born in Nagoya, Japan. He received his BFA from the Tokyo National University of Art, Tokyo, Japan. He has been the subject of many solo exhibitions in the U.S. and Japan, and has been included in many international group exhibitions, including recently “Action & Abstraction : Post War Japanese Art,” Nakanoshime Design Museum, Osaka, Japan; “Painting in Parts,” Maryland Art Place, Baltimore, MD; and “The Third Mind: American Artists Contemplate Asia, 1860-1989,” The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York City, NY.
