Hirofumi Maeshiba was born in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, and graduated with honors from the Kyushu Sangyo University, Kyushu Japan. He has been exhibiting in Japan and New York since 1984. Recent exhibitions of his work have been held at Mana Contemporary, New Jersey; Repetti Gallery, Long Island City, New York; Grace Institute Gallery, New York City; and Gallery Tamano City, Okayama, Japan. He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
