Marilyn Minter was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and lives and works in New York City. She has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions including at Regen Projects, Los Angeles; Salon 94, New York; Deichtorhallen, Hamburg, Germany; Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland, OH; La Conservera, Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, Ceutí, Spain; and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, among many others. Her video Green Pink Caviar was exhibited in the lobby of the MoMA for over a year, and was also shown on digital billboards on Sunset Boulevard in LA. Marilyn Minter was included in “Riotous Baroque,” a group exhibition at the Guggenheim Bilbao in 2013 and in the 2006 Whitney Biennial. In collaboration with Creative Time she installed billboards all over New York’s Chelsea neighborhood. Minter teaches in the MFA department at the School of Visual Arts, NY.
