Erwin Redl was born in 1963 in Gfoehl, Lower Austria. In 1993 he relocated to New York. Redl received his MFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts, New York, and his BA in Composition and diploma in Electronic Music from the Music Academy, Vienna, Austria. He has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at Bitforms Gallery, NY; Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo, OH; Galerie Gottlicher, Stein/Krems, Austria; Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, OH; Ace Gallery, Beverly Hills, CA; and Museum of Contemporary Art, Sn Diego, CA, among many others. He has also been in included in group exhibitions in the U.S., Germany, Australia, France, and China, among others. Redl has permanent installations throughout the U.S. and abroad, including New York, NY; Istanbul, Turkey; Charlotte, NC; West Hollywood, CA. He currently lives and works in Bowling Green, Ohio.
