David Stein explores cultural and political difference, how knowledge is constructed, and how consumption and waste are a cycle of contemporary material and cultural production. He studied Philosophy at the University of Chicago and Fine Art at the California College of the Arts. He has exhibited in New York, San Francisco, Boston, Malmö, and Dresden, been awarded residencies at the Bemis Center and the MacDowell Colony, and been featured in Frieze and New York Magazines. He lives and works in Queens, NY.
