Matt Chalker has a background in both art history and engineering, both of which inform his art practice. He received his M.A. in art History, with a portfolio in museum studies, from the University of Texas, and both a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and B.A. in Art History from Ohio State University. Chalker is currently the Fab Lab Specialist Liaison at California State University, Bakersfield. Previously, Chalker was the Fab Lab Program Coordinator at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, Illinois.
