Julia Greenburger is a recent graduate of Bennington College, where she studied visual art, philosophy, dance and cultural studies. Her work in charcoal progresses from an interest in portraiture as an act of empathy into drawing as a formless act of improvisation and presence. The variety within the image group reflects an ebb and flow between dissociation and embodiment.
