Josée Pedneault is a visual artist living and working in Montreal. Her work has been shown in national and international venues, such as the Daegu Photo Biennale in South Korea, CONTACT Gallery and Critical Distance in Toronto, and Museo del Chopo in Mexico. Often linked to the theme of travel and displacement, her projects are partly conceptualized and produced during international art residencies: she has lived and worked in Tokyo, UK, Italy, Puerto Rico, Iceland, France and Poland. She also creates large-scale public art projects; her most recent is a permanent artwork in the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada. Josée Pedneault holds an MFA in studio art from Concordia University where she also teaches. In 2018, with the support of the CALQ, she will take part in a one-year residency in Berlin at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien.
