Carol Salmanson was born in Providence, RI. She received her undergraduate degree from Carnegie-Mellon University and masters from the University of Chicago. She is currently Vice President of the Board of Trustees of NURTUREart Non-Profit. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, Storefront Bushwick, Dam, Stuhltrager Gallery, and numerous other venues. Group exhibitions include San Antonio’s light festival Luminaria; Space Invaders, Lehman College, NY; Rock St. curated by Deborah Brown and Lesley Heller; Illuminators, OK Harris; and Dumbo Arts Festival among others.
